The VIC Parks Annual Conference 2023 was an unforgettable gathering of industry enthusiasts, where knowledge, camaraderie, and achievements converged over three exhilarating days in Ballarat at The Goods Shed. As corporate sponsors and long-standing members of over 30+ years with VIC Parks Association, this is one of RMS Cloud's favourite calendar events. As we reflect on the annual Parkie event, it's evident that it was a resounding success, leaving us inspired and motivated to continue innovating park management technology.
The RMS Cloud team kicked off the conference with an in-person masterclass on optimising guest experiences in the RMS Guest Portal, new innovations in RMS Pay and time-saving tricks and tips on using automated triggered correspondence. Led by our Parkie and RMS expert, Dave Jones, the in-depth session focused on how to get the most out of RMS Cloud software and the newest enhancements for parks.
Amid the informative sessions and insightful discussions, a spirited game of darts injected a healthy dose of fun and friendly competition. The interactive darts tournament captivated attendees, culminating in an intense play-off at the RMS Cloud welcome cocktail party that had the room roaring with excitement. Andrew Ricketson from BIG4 Seymour Holiday Park emerged victorious, proudly claiming the coveted Yeti cooler. We also like to say thank you to everyone who stopped by the stand to play and chat with our RMS experts, Courtney Hall and Neil Woods.
The conference's climax was undoubtedly the YMH VIC Parks Gala Dinner, where RMS was recognised as runners-up for the Rob Ensink, Jayco Associate Member Of the Year award that highlights outstanding business performance and support of the Association. Federation Homes secured a well-deserved top position and were recognised for their tremendous foresight and leadership in helping affected parks recover from recent floodings.
The night brought a heartfelt round of applause to all the winners who stood out for their exceptional contributions to the industry. Notably, RMS properties lead the way with numerous awards and standouts, including:
Matt and Kaylene Linsley from Acacia Caravan Park & Holiday Units were awarded the 'Steve Bartlett Presidents Award', a well-deserved recognition of their outstanding achievements.
Congratulations to Golden Country Motel & Caravan Park for receiving the Elizabeth White Green Park Award;
The joint winners of the Workplace Excellence Award, Acacia Caravan Park & Holiday Units and BIG4 Aireys Inlet.
Valley View Caravan Park shone brightly with the Golightly Family Marketing Award.
And lastly, BIG4 Aireys Inlet basked in glory with a second award for the night, the Ray & Glenys Edwards Tourist/Mixed-use Caravan Park of the Year Award. Congratulations to all the Parkies making a difference in the industry! The evening was a testament to the industry's commitment to raising the bar in customer service, community and growth.
In conclusion, the VIC Parks Annual Conference 2023 was an unparalleled success, uniting industry leaders and enthusiasts in a collective pursuit of excellence. The packed masterclass, the enthralling darts tournament at our cocktail party, and the Awards Gala dinner showcased our commitment to innovation, learning, and celebration. As we close out another remarkable event with VIC Parks, we carry forward the insights gained and the connections formed, ready to support growth, inspiration, and unparalleled guest experiences.
