Property management system (PMS) software provider, RMS Cloud, has recently opened a China hosting centre to support its worldwide expansion. This will enable the technology company to host data in an exclusive Chinese data centre to comply with the country’s data residency laws, further broadening its product offering across Asia.
“Increasing our data hosting capabilities was a key initiative in our 2021 roadmap to support our customers’ data compliance needs,” says Peter Buttigieg, Founder and CEO of RMS Cloud. “Launching this data centre in China will seamlessly enable our clients to adhere to the strict legislation and local data requirements, as well as strengthen our presence in the Chinese accommodation space.”
Over the last three years, RMS has enriched its product to align with Asia requirements, including translation, tax and legal enhancements. In 2020, the company migrated to hosting providers to deliver limitless scalability and a stronger, more reliable system. With a China data centre now also in place, RMS can further satisfy accommodation operators by providing an enterprise, cloud-based PMS product that meets their specific in-country requirements.
